Volunteer Information

As a new volunteer...

You will work under the supervision of a hospital staff person. Volunteer time commitment is usually once per week for four hours or 15-20 hours per month.

Assignments...

What types of volunteer assignments are offered? There are opportunities for volunteering in patient care areas as well as opportunities that do not work directly with patients. These include: outpatient clinic area, Information Desk, Short Stay Center, Screening Services, Radiology and Gift Shop. Department offices that have volunteers are: Patient Access, Administration, Clinical Trials, and Medical Director's Office.

What's Required...

While you give your time, there are some requirements that you will need to complete to be a member of the Staff for Life team. These include: a completed application, a recent TB skin test and attending hospital-wide orientation.
