Are you a breast cancer survivor?
Women of all ages and ethnicities who are one-year to six-year survivors of breast cancer are invited to enroll in the study, “Long-Term Breast Cancer Treatment Effects: Limb Changes,” funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The study will include:
- Appointments every six months at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia, Mo.
- Visits with nurses for participants to speak with nurses about their symptoms. Nurses will take measurements of arm circumference and arm volume with non-invasive equipment.
- An annual psychosocial survey
- Contact information to access nurse researchers for answers to questions about lymphedema and survivorship
- Modest reimbursement for time and travel expenses
Learn more about the study in the article, “Health and Beauty,” on page 5 of Ellis. For more information or to enroll in the program, please call (573) 882-9972 or e-mail armerj@missouri.edu. |
