Expansion

The chocolate-brown and tan bricks that the hospital was built with were covered by a tan weather coating in 1975 to help the building match better with the new addition. The building's exterior changed dramatically as a result.
A large addition was added to the hospital in 1975 to expand the outpatient clinic capability, laboratory space, and to create a new operating room suite. The addition gave Ellis Fischel Cancer Center the ability to expand services in the outpatient arena and to modernize service delivery to the inpatients population as well.
