By September, 1939, less than one year from the start of construction, the exterior of the building was complete and interior work was the prime focus.

This photo, taken in March, 1940, shows a unique angle of the hospital just prior to the opening celebrations to occur the following month. Construction in 1975 added a vast amount of additional space to the hospital and was attached to this area of the hospital.
