Gastrointestinal Malignancies The gastrointestinal cancer team consists of specialists in gastrointestinal disorders, as well as surgical, radiation, and medical oncology. Ellis Fischel offers state of the art, coordinated, multidisciplinary care for cancers of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, colon, rectum, and anus. Surgical procedures available at Ellis Fishel and the University of Missouri include laparoscopic colon surgery as well as surgical management of liver tumors through surgical resection, cryoablation, and radiofrequency ablation.
